She was taking photos at the Delaware County Historical Association's Civil War event, and I was taking photos of everyone, war re-enactor and "civilian."

I worked in layers, beginning with a gray layer. Brushwork was all done with a 1/2" flat.

Then came a few colors, but I kept the number of colors minimal, and low-key. That's my current challenge (or is it a goal, not a challenge? I suppose it's both.)
