The winner of the CLASI* auction wanted both daughters on the painting that she "won" at a local benefit auction. I painted a few versions--but to get both likenesses right on one painting (for me) was about 20X more difficult than getting one likeness right, and I trashed more tries than usual. (I usually paint one of these small portraits about three times until I get the one

 I deem acceptable to ship to the client.) 

--My solution was just to paint two portraits, 

and on my auction offer the next year, be very, very specific about my offering.
