The rose was fun; the glass should have been fun, but. I used masking for the highlights, applied it with a tiny brush, but the resulting white spots and slashed were still way too wide and clunky. I tried to paint them smaller by bordering them with base color, but I don't like the results at all.
How do people keep those nice, tiny, white highlights when they paint glass?
On the positive side, this was the big event painting: I broke out the Arches!
And it was everything they say. Such a pleasure to paint on!
