Season Finales and Their Heros

I'd meant to finish and post The Hero of Highclere right after the final Downton of the season, but then my mind got hijacked by Wendy's suggestion that we go down to the city on Sunday to see the winter season finale performance of the New York City Ballet. 
It was a great day--cold, but Wendy's superior city driving and navigational abilities meant that we gracefully slid right in to a parking spot below Lincoln Center, and didn't spend much time freezing on the streets. 
To top it off, my fantasy spare husband, Ask, had a lead role. (Maybe in the ballet world they are not called "lead roles," but for all intents and purposes, that's what it was. And he was magnificent.)
